SobaSearch is a public directory for recovery meetings, treatment providers, and recovery support resources. The public directory can be searched without an account. Account tools, billing, saved collections, schedules, private contacts, and API keys require additional data described below.

Data We Collect

For public directory search, we process the search terms and coarse place information you provide, such as a city, state, or ZIP code. We do not need street addresses, GPS coordinates, medical records, diagnoses, symptoms, insurance member IDs, government IDs, payment card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive personal information to search the public directory.

For account features, we may process account identifiers, email address, login/session information, saved meetings and providers, collections, schedule shares, notes, private contacts, provider claim submissions, billing status, API key metadata, support messages, and audit records needed to operate the service.

ChatGPT App

If you use the SobaSearch ChatGPT app, ChatGPT may send SobaSearch the search query or listing ID needed to answer your request. Queries may include a city/state or ZIP code when you choose to provide one. The app is designed to avoid requesting street addresses, GPS coordinates, protected health information, medical records, diagnoses, symptoms, or other sensitive personal information.

SobaSearch uses ChatGPT app requests only to return public directory results and listing details. The app does not create, update, delete, or publish account records. SobaSearch does not use ChatGPT app requests to profile users, target advertising, or infer medical conditions.

How We Use Data

We use data to provide directory search, show listing details, operate account features, prevent abuse, secure the service, respond to support requests, process billing, maintain API access, comply with law, and improve reliability and quality.

Retention

Public search requests are handled transiently for the request. Operational logs are minimized and may retain coarse technical metadata such as status, latency, and error information for security and reliability. Account records are retained while your account is active or as needed for legal, security, billing, and operational purposes. You can contact us to request deletion of account data.

Sharing

We share data with service providers that help operate SobaSearch, such as hosting, database, authentication, billing, email, analytics, and support infrastructure. When you use the ChatGPT app, OpenAI operates the ChatGPT platform and may process app requests and responses under its own terms and privacy practices.

User Controls

You can use public search without an account. Account users can manage saved resources, collections, contacts, shares, API keys, and profile information in their account dashboard. Contact us for access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions.

Safety

SobaSearch is not a medical, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency service. Directory listings can change, so confirm details directly before relying on a meeting or provider listing.
