Aldemar Recovery
North Charleston, SC
Aldemar Recovery is a nonprofit sober living home for women. Our mission is to provide safe and sober housing that supports women on their recovery journey. We offer enough structure to maintain safety while embracing multiple pathways to heal addiction. Random drug testing occurs once per week at a minimum. Curfews are enforced by video surveillance with exceptions for employment with appropriate documentation. Residents must attend 3+ recovery meetings per week. Meetings can be AA/NA/CA, Dharma, or SMART. Other types of meetings will be considered by management. These must be planned and reported to management 1 week in advance. Clients enrolled in an intensive outpatient program are encouraged to attend additional meetings. Additional meetings are not required considering the time demands of an IOP program. Residents are required to have a sponsor within 2 weeks of moving in. In leu of a sponsor, clients may meet with a licensed professional counselor or licensed social worker of their choice once per week at their own cost. We believe that each person’s recovery journey is unique to them. We allow space for residents to individualize their recovery plan while prioritizing safety and sobriety.
